In November, the Hugo Good Neighbors Food Shelf distributed Thanksgiving baskets to 86 families, totaling 4,322 pounds of food and holiday baking essentials. The Hugo MN Lions donated over 1,200 pounds of turkeys, and volunteers, including members of the Centennial Youth Hockey Association, played a vital role in the event. Festival Foods in Hugo also contributed by offering pre-made holiday baskets for customers to purchase easily. This collective effort underscored the community’s commitment to providing essential support to those facing food insecurity during the holiday season.
